Grey Ladies
Friday, February 17th, 2006So there I was, driving along Wm Cannon, coming up on Mopac, singing along to “Bad Day” but actually feeling pretty good because it’s Friday and I’m feeling a lot better than I have recently, when a black pickup truck passed me on the left.
I did a doubletake as it passed because in the back were a whole bunch of grey arms, legs, and various other female body parts, as well as several whole grey bodies. Ladies. Lots of ladies and lady parts. Stone ladies.
Remembering my vow to carry my camera with me everywhere, I realized it *WAS* with me. But it was in the trunk and there was no time to stop and get it out. Handy, eh? Then I remembered my phone has a (bad) camera, but a bad picture is better than no picture, right?
So here is my testament to Friday. At least I’m not a grey lady riding in the back of a black pickup on a stone-cold grey day.
(The picture really does not do justice to the sight, because it doesn’t provide a view into the bed of the pickup, where all the body parts were piled. But hey, you work with what you got.)
